Specifically (well, at least somewhat specifically for what I can publicly disclose), we are supporting the development of a space-based robotic arm simulator, where models of the robotic arm and end-effector tools will be built using Gazebo. Contact dynamics encountered during grappling tasks will be simulated, tested and evaluated in on-Earth and space-based environments.

Expertise in Simulink a strong plus.
Expertise in ROS, Python, and MERN stack development a plus
Preferential to be based in Washington, DC area. US-based remote work is available, with bi-weekly to monthly on-site meetings in Washington DC required.

This is a full-time developer position with a robotics integration software company in Northern Virginia. We support the integration of robotics and IoT devices for smart buildings and connected communities, as well as government and private robotics integration contracts. Although most of your time will be spent supporting this government subcontract, additional support on in-house R&D and other contracts will be available.
