Vicarious Surgical is a high growth Medical Device company that has developed a cutting edge Surgical Robot that was granted Breakthrough Device Designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Joining our Advanced Sensing, Data and AI group as a Robotics Software Engineer, will lay the groundwork for a brand-new team at Vicarious Surgical giving intelligence to the next generation of Surgical Robotics. You will enjoy working with a highly talented and diverse team of engineers to develop advanced perception, reasoning, planning, and robotic controls features for our robots.
We are looking for dynamic, collaborative individuals with a passion for robotics who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, and strategic environment. You will design, develop, and test key features for robotics and infrastructure applications. You will also take ownership of the robot’s and infrastructure features and collaborate with other teams to investigate best design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical and robustness feasibility. You should have proven production experience with ROS/ROS2, Gazebo Ignition, Docker containers, and document-oriented databases.
Some recent information about us. We recently announced that we are merging with APAC D8 Holdings, a special purpose acquisition company vowing to help us play at $1.1 billion valuation level. Our company’s robot has arms that help replicate human motion, 9 degrees of freedom per arm with 360-degree visualization, all though a 1.5cm incision during surgery and we have some well-known backers, including Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
