Hello community,

The 7th major release of Gazebo, code named Garden, is coming out at the end of September 2022. As usual, we will dedicated this month’s community meeting to demoing the latest features in Gazebo Garden.

Here is a sampling of what’s new in Garden

  • DEM heightmaps
  • Localized wind effects
  • The ability to reset simulation
  • glTF and GLB mesh support
  • Lunar terrain and coordinates
  • Static plugins
  • SDF Python API
  • Vulkan support

Thank you very much for this community meeting. It was great to see all the new features that Garden has to offer!

If you don’t mind me asking, I am wondering whether the demo world will become available on Fuel just like the previous demo worlds (e.g. Fortress demo and Edifice demo)? Thank you for your insight.

For those that missed the community meeting, the collection name for Gazebo H is Harmonic.
