Hi Gazebo Community!

This week’s meeting was held on 2025-04-14T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:

  • Progress updates and agenda:
    • Starting the review plan for Qt6 (PR1, PR2, PR3).
    • gz-transport patch to make Zenoh and ZeroMQ coexist.
    • Implement raw subscribers and pub/sub here.
    • CI updates to install Zenoh packages (Homebrew and Ubuntu).
    • New Conda “Noble like” envinronment available for Jetty.
    • Infra team to provide efforts and feedback on the autorelease feature.
    • Standalone gz-sim executables ported to Jetty.
    • Gz Transport new CreateSubscriber() method under review. We discussed Jerry plans to deprecate the current Subscribe() or leave it as it is.
    • Gazebo Jetty logo update: Artisted contacted. We’ll need to wait to end other arrangements.
    • Ongoing updates for removing major version from packages.
    • Contributor recruiting program. Let’s propose some ASAN patches for new contributions.
    • Review the RFC simulation interfaces and the status of ros_gz and similar repositories for the Kilted feature freeze.
