Feature Freeze for Gazebo Ionic

Hello everyone!

The feature freeze period for Gazebo Ionic starts on 2024-07-26T00:00:00Z.

During the feature freeze period, we will not accept new features to Gazebo. This includes new features to Ionic as well as to stable versions, such as Harmonic. If you have a new feature you want to contribute, please open a PR before we go into feature freeze noting that changes can be made to open PRs during the feature freeze period. This period will be close when we go into code freeze on 2024-08-28T00:00:00Z.

Bug fixes and documentation changes will still be accepted after the freeze date.

Gazebo Ionic is now Feature frozen! Open PRs that are likely to be merged before the code freeze (2024-08-28T00:00:00Z) now have the beta label. You can find a new view on the project board that filters open PRs by the beta label (Core development · GitHub). If one of your PRs has been assigned the beta label, please try to make progress on the PR so it can be merged in a timely manner. If you don’t think it can be merged before the code freeze, please comment on the PR stating so and we’ll remove the beta label.
