I recently attended roscon 24 held in my country. It was mentioned that i could contribute to software and documentation to various software suites under OSRA. What is the process behind this? How can i contribute to this cause by writing open source software?
That’s great you’ve decided to contribute! It’s actually quite easy and a surprisingly pleasant process when you see the core developers giving you valuable feedback. I’m also just an independent developer who just saw some bugs and wanted them fixed, so I wrote the fixes.

The best case is if you already know about some bug that you’d want fixed or a feature you’re missing. Or you can look into the Inbox or Todo columns in https://github.com/orgs/gazebosim/projects/7/views/1 and search for issues tagged “help wanted”.
