Compatibility of Gazebo and TurtleBot3 with Ubuntu 24.04 and ROS 2 Jazzy

I am currently exploring the use of Gazebo and TurtleBot3 on Ubuntu 24.04, and I have a couple of questions regarding their compatibility.

Gazebo on Ubuntu 24.04: Is Gazebo fully functional on Ubuntu 24.04, particularly for use with TurtleBot3? Are there any known issues or specific installation steps I should be aware of?

Gazebo-Harmonic and ROS 2 Jazzy: I understand that Gazebo-Harmonic is intended for use with ROS 2 Jazzy. Is it compatible with TurtleBot3? Are there any limitations or considerations I should keep in mind when using Gazebo-Harmonic with TurtleBot3 in this environment?

I haven’t seen announcement of TB3 on Jazzy yet. But TB4 works almost well, and it uses Gazebo Harmonic. But it is a different robot.

Thanks for the info! I know TurtleBot4 works with Gazebo Harmonic, but there’s no official word on TurtleBot3 for ROS 2 Jazzy yet. It might still be compatible, so checking the documentation and community forums is a good idea. If anyone has experience with TurtleBot3 on Jazzy, please share!

On Github it was mentioned that support for ROS 2 Jazzy and newer Gazebo versions should come in Q2 of 2025.
