Hi @rfn123 !

Ignition GUI ships with a generic Scene3D plugin that is independent of Gazebo and can be used on other applications. It’s what’s under the hood in Ignition RViz, see here. You could build your visualizer on top of that, or even better, add features directly to that plugin that are general enough for various applications.

It’s also worth mentioning that we have some work underway to refactor Scene3D to pull in more features that we have on a separate Scene3D inside Gazebo. This way, we have less duplicate code and Ignition Gazebo can also leverage Ignition GUI’s scene plugin.

Hi community!

Due to some unforeseen scheduling conflicts, we are cancelling this month’s Ignition Community Meeting. We apologize for the short notice for this announcement. We already have an exciting presentation planned for June, which we will announce soon, and will reschedule the presentation about Ignition Rendering to a future date.
