Hello everybody! On to the next Gazebo Community Meeting! Our next speaker will go over the challenges of creating real-time simulations and how to optimize them.
“Building a complex simulation environment that runs efficiently in real time can be challenging. This talk will show how we created and optimized large complex environments for different applications in the past. It’ll also give a preview of upcoming Gazebo features implemented to improve physics performance, including mesh convex hull decomposition, collision detection optimizations, as well as recent improvements to the bullet-featherstone physics plugin.”
Agenda:
- Latest Gazebo news - Addisu Tadesse (Intrinsic)
- “Building and optimizing Gazebo simulation environments”. Ian Chen (Intrinsic)
We opened a slot for short (3 minutes) lighting presentations. If you’re interested in talking about your Gazebo project contact me (caguero AT openrobotics DOT org) and I’ll book your slot.
