where is the best place to request fixes to the SDF documentation? I think some of the items in the documentation might be old or wrong (as the mu parameter range described here) and I don’t know if there is some place to open Issues for the documentation itself.

Bumping this. I’ve also noticed some of the documentation seems wrong.
Example: The atmosphere element lists “type” as an sub-element, but it is an attribute.
The SDF spec website is generated from the source code. The friction elements are here, and have actually been fixed 2 years ago here.
There’s a manual step that needs to be run to update the website. We’re looking into it.

The http://sdformat.org/spec page has been updated to include the latest specification (v 1.7). Outdated documentation of the spec for earlier versions has also been updated.
