Cable modelling and simulation in Gazebo?

I am trying to model a cable in Gazebo. It will be good if the cable resembles a catenary shape.
I am trying to model it as links connected to fixed joints. I am unable to find any examples of it.
Then, I intend to move the end points of the cable slowly.

Further, I saw many people talking about firehose model, I am unable to find it.

It would be nice if I can get some help in this problem.
