This week’s meeting was held on 2025-06-02T18:00:00Z and the following is a summary:
- Progress updates and agenda:
- Gazebo Transport: Zenoh graph cache pull request (part3) has been merged.
- Gazebo Transport: Removed deprecated functions in main.
- Gazebo Transport: Clean up namespaces (part 1) (main, gz-transport14, gz-transport13, ign-transport11).
- Gazebo Transport: Clean up namespaces (part 2) (main, gz-transport14, gz-transport13, ign-transport11).
- Infrastructure: Deployed change in the buildfarm to scale down the server during weekends.
- Infrastructure: Autorelease changelog initial GitHub action created.
- ROS 2 control example using Gazebo and MoveIt2 has been merged.
- backwards-cpp support merged on Jetty.
- Bazel: Progress with gz-common, gz-physics, gz-fuel-tools and gz-rendering.
- ROSCon: Two proposals sent.
- Version bumps: Jetty version bumps are complete. (release-tools#1309, announcement).
- gz-sim#2918: gz-sim-model command not working with cli11 version in 24.04. Already fixed in gz-sim#2921.
- Restored support for deprecated non-qualified message names in gz-msgs#512 due to gz-transport#435. Fix has already been merged in gz-transport#647. Deprecated functionality to be removed in gz-msgs#520, expect to merge this week
- gz-tools: Follow-up for gz-tools main branch in preparation for Gazebo K (use gz-cmake5, remove version from package name): gz-tools#157.
- Discussion about Python in Gazebo ROS Packages.
- OSRA funding plan: Internal results and internal plan presented. Four internal working groups have created to work on draft proposals.
